Notice on Award-winning Essays for Sino-Belgian Students
——To Celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations Between China and Belgium
2021 is the 50th anniversary of the formal establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Belgium. This is a major event in the development of friendly relations between the two countries. Over the past 50 years, pragmatic cooperation in various fields between the two countries has developed steadily. In order to further promote exchanges and cooperation in the field of education between China and Belgium, and to deepen the mutual understanding and friendship between the people of the two countries, especially the young generation, the Education Section of the Chinese Embassy in Belgium will hold an essay competition to celebrate this event. The relevant matters are as following:
1. The Theme of the Essay
With "My Story of Studying Abroad" as the main theme, you can tell the touching stories that happened during your study abroad, the profound friendships you have formed with the teachers, students, and people of the studying abroad country. And you can express how studying abroad has brought you better understanding and made you more open to the different cultures from two countries. The essay can also reflect the impact of studying abroad on one's own life, thoughts and career development, and express suggestions and expectations for the future educational exchanges and cooperation between China and Belgium and the development of friendly relations between the two countries.
2. The Participants of the Essay Event
It is open to all new and old overseas students from China and Belgium
who have studied in Belgium or China. Whether you are studying abroad or have returned to your home country, you can participate.
3. Time for Event
Deadline：August 1, 2021
4. Essay Submission Requirement
A. The story of studying abroad is real, touching, lively and interesting,
showing one’s thoughts, as well as being readable and reflecting positive energy.
B. The genre of writing is unlimited, the topic is self-chosen, and the text length is about 2000 words attached 3 or 5 photos. The submitted script must be original and never published.
C. The writing language can be Chinese or English. If you submit an article in French or Dutch, please attach your own translated
Chinese or English script.
D. Please submit the electronic version to the
public mailbox of the Education Section of the Chinese Embassy in
Belgium: firstname.lastname@example.org .
There are 2 first prizes, 4 second prizes, 8 third prizes, and several
participation prizes. The organizer will invite relevant experts to
comment on all the scripts and determine the prizes.
In addition to the award certificate, first, second, and third prize winners will each be rewarded with the prizes of different values. Participation awards will be presented with souvenirs.
